Customs & tariffs
The US de minimis exemption is gone for China-origin goods. Every parcel is assessed from the first dollar, either at the tariff rate for its HS code or under the flat per-item regime on postal lines.
Our default on US lines is DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): we classify each SKU, calculate the duty from its HS code and include it in the label price you see in the portal. The figure on your invoice is the true landed cost, and your customer never gets a carrier bill or a brokerage letter.
HS-code accuracy is the highest-leverage detail on this route. A vague code gets reclassified at the border, usually to a higher rate, and adds 3–7 days of hold time. We assign the code at SKU creation, check it against the receiving photos and flag mismatches before the first parcel ships.
Tariff rates on China-origin goods have changed more than once since 2025 and can change again mid-year. The current rules and rates per product category are on the Fulfido blog; check it before you set US retail prices.

What is the cheapest way to ship a small parcel from China to the US?
A tracked economy line: a 100g packed parcel starts at $4.90, tracked door to door, typically delivered in 8–12 days. Below roughly 2kg, economy beats express couriers on cost by 2–3x; above 2kg the gap narrows and expedited or express often wins.
Will my US customers have to pay customs charges on delivery?
Not if you ship DDP, our US default. The US ended the $800 de minimis exemption for China-origin parcels, so duty applies from the first dollar; we calculate it from each SKU's HS code and include it in the label price. Your customer pays nothing.
Which carriers deliver Fulfido parcels inside the US?
YunExpress lines carry the international leg. USPS delivers economy and expedited parcels; UPS or FedEx deliver express. One tracking number (YT26… format) covers the full journey and syncs back to your store.
Is shipping charged on actual weight or volumetric weight?
Whichever is greater. Volumetric weight is length × width × height in centimeters divided by 8,000. Dense items like ceramics bill on actual weight; light bulky items like cushions can bill on volumetric. The shipping calculator shows both figures and which one applies.
